genetik_defekt
Hey guys. Here are 2 pics of my tank set up. Its 8x2x2 set up in my lounge room. I have been cyclying it for just over two weeks now, and as of thursday i put in some "tester" danios. I managed to get some nice pieces of drift wood over the long weekend also. Sunday afternoon i picked up 20 small silver dollars. My future plans for the tank at this stage are some cichla monoculus. Note water is cloudy due to substrate being stirred up by me while putting in the driftwood. Ive also got some greenary coming from aquagreen. Although as yellow pointed out to me the silver dollars will probably make short work of the plants.

Leone
20 silver dollars will fill that up nicely in next to no time. personally, I would not waste my money on real plant.. the SD's will demolish them in a day (speaking from experience). Nice silk plants look good, and once they get a bit of growth on them, they look ok. I have 6 SDs which are now about 5" in a 6' tank, and they take up a bit of space.. cant wait to see a pic of yours in 3 - 5 months time. cheers Leone
genetik_defekt
Thanks for all the nice comments guys. Mattnshez. Yeah i spend a fair few dollars on the DW but i think it was worth it in the end. Guppylicious. I dunno why the light turned out that way, i think it was just because of the camera. It actually has 4, 4 foot lights under the hood and is really bright. Leone. Yeah ive kept SD before. I can never get enough of em for dither fish, i think they are great. Ive already ordered the plant from aquagreen so it kinda too late, but i wanted to go natural this time anyways. The plan is to feed to SD 4 times daily so they keep the plant damage to a minimum. Also i wont be keeping 20 SD in this tank. I plan to upgrade at the years end if my finances allow to a 10x3x2.5 and move the 8 ftr to the kitchen
