gianniz
I thought the spawn has failed as she started to venture out to the other shell next to her but today I saw the little pit she dugged so after careful observation I found this... Great way to start the year off
rosco
Nice work mine are close I think. I started with 4 and 2 have been pushed out the tank (literally I'm afraid ) to leave a pair and she has been hanging around the one shell for a week or two now. gianniz
they are around 4-4.5cm strangefish. even though they seem to be almost full grown I am still not 100% confident about the sex of some of them! interesting fish for sure
gianniz
hey rosco congrats, mine did the same thing and soon it will dig a pit or even move around to another shell nearby. to my suprise, the boy came over and redecorated another shell right next to this. I thought he was going to force her to mate again, however the frys are now going back and forth from those two shells today i did some cleaning and both male and female was sitting ontop of the shell guarding the frys what a great parents. mbuna man
My golds are about 3-4cm. I think i'll have about 6-7 months before mine to start breeding. My golds don't sleep in there shells, how about yours?
gianniz
gold occies tend to breed at smaller size. my black occies were around that size when i bought it and in 3 months time they bred they don't sleep inside the shell but right infront of it. Sometimes with their head in the shell
