Bedge
So Hunky is gone (Im still wiping away the tears). We now have to figure out what to do with his tank. My Fiance has always wanted a community tank, which Hunky did not allow. We kept the tank quite basic as Hunky always ripped everything up. At the moment we have some drift wood and some river pebbels. I'm not keen on the river pebbels. I'm wanting a planted tank so Im wondering what would be the nicest and most effective base. Suggestions? Thanks.
gianniz
sorry for you loss Bedge. My advice is to look around the internet for a display tank you like and try to recreate it Ps whos hunky? Bedge
Hey! Hunky was my Fene, the best fish in the whole entire world. He was amazing. He died on NYE.
Ged
I have always had gravel in my planted tanks. The size of the gravel was dependent on the size of the tank i.e. a small tank required a finer gravel. I presume that you have a large tank if it housed Hunky. The gravel was easy to clean and maintain. My only other suggestion would be to use a combination of gravel and some of the river pebbles that you already have an aquascape your tank. Emma2938
If your doing a planted tank, my suggestion is buy some laterite normally $25 for 20kg, and go for any of these substrates. they look awesome and your plants will love it. http://www.aquariumproducts.com.au/catalog...14&catID=65 http://www.aquariumsuppliesaustralia.com.a...tail&p=3233 http://www.aquariumsuppliesaustralia.com.a...etail&p=754 http://www.aquariumsuppliesaustralia.com.a...etail&p=840 http://www.aquariumsuppliesaustralia.com.a...tail&p=2574 also, if your looking for plants livefish and aquariumsupplies seel plants online at very reasonable prices.
