They can be place just at (aimed slightly upwards) or above the water line (aimed downward), and increase oxygenation. They can also take the force out of return water if too strong a volume is being returned. I also use one of the holes on the spray bar to attach an airline hose, to pump water through a separate container, floating in the tank itself. I quarantine fish here, so they can recover from injury, or put babies in it. I have no concerns for lack of oxygen. Craig Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
