BOG6ON
G'day everyone, Just out of curiosity, i was wondering what your guys personal experiences with what you feed you breeding fish and have had success with. Just starting to get a few more species and a little more into the breeding side of things. I have been told a few different things but i don't want go doing the wrong thing. I also understand if you guys don't want to reveal your secrets!
Richard
Hey mate, Theres a number of different "breeding recipes" out there and they all cater to certain fish. I know for my frontosa's that when i see some tubes dropping in the females i feed some large frozen mysis shrimp or some frozen hikari shrimp, the extra nutrience seems to do it for them. They are fed on a variety of NLS pellets and OSI Spirulina flakes as well. So depending on what fish you have the food diet to induce them to breed varies. HTH, Richard. jeppry
I use NSL all purpose to feed my malawis, riverine species and bristlenose aswell as hikari alge discs. Ive also made up a DIY cichlid mix all my fish love it. Feed it sparingly tho as it can make a mess of your tanks. HTH
