Some are starting to get orange heads now. hi matty unfortuantly, the colour can be a poor indicator when the fish are not in breeding condition. but as a rule the male should have colour right down his forehead to his top lip. the female's colour fades away half way down. the head shape can also help, the rise of the male's forhead is rather steep, with the female's being less. they will pair off and move away from the others when they're ready to breed. so it should be easy to pick the differences then Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
