mitch9
Hi guys, just a quick question. I'm in the process of getting rid of a tank and I have a large male bn in a large log in the tank. I want to get the bn out so I can transfer him into my new tank but he never comes out. Is there any way I can get him out? Thanks for any suggestions. scott_to4
just move the log into the new tank with him, or if you dont want the log in the new tank, give it a little shake in the new tank and he is sure to swim out of it.

Mitch i'd place the log in a upright position. after u change the log position and the male feels unsave then he should come out in about half an hour time! electricyellowz
Put only the part of the log the bn is in into the new tank whilst (in the water of the new tank) the rest is out of the tank. He should come out because he feels unsafe and then you can just remove the log. Or you could place some zuchinni in the old tank on the other end of away from the male and he should come out unless he is fanning eggs. D6C1
Transfer the log. He will come out eventually. Dont shake it too hard if you shake it, he might turn around and in the process get jammed.
mitch9
I'm not to keen on putting his log straight into my new tank as the ph and hardness is different in my new tank and I dont want to shock or kill him. I want to give him a while to acclimatise. Thanks guys, I will try the zuchini to lure him out then go him the upside down log in a bucket. Will let you know how I go.
