scott_to4
hey, it looks like one of my maingano 'might' be holding a mouthful. Albeit very small so its hard to tell. when i feed them she still eats but not much and doesnt attack the food like the rest. So normally would a holding female eat?????????? Lee Miller
Hi, Some females will eat when holding, but usually towards the end of their term when the fry are getting more developed. Tropheus seem to do it more than most and the jury is still out on whether they are 'eating' for themselves or for their fry. I haven't noticed mainganos being big eaters when holding, but it does happen. Cheers, Lee.

poxboy
I just stripped 12 furcifer bubs from a female who's been eating right through. She would happily eat 1mm NLS, but wouldn't touch the 3mm stuff. Bretto.
Reillin
I wonder if she is eating or feeding her fry? Cheers, Vien.
dobbin4
Both i think , some eat some dont seem to and get real skinny and others keep better condition so they must be at least eating to feed themselves.
