seth
Hi All, Thinking of using a crushed coral as substrate in my new 6x2x2. I'll be mainly keeping synodontist pertricola and black calvis. I have it in the temp home right now and don't have any problems with it. It is a mix of gravel size pieces plus some smaller chunks (1 to 2cm). Just curious on opinions. It's my main display tank. I not really to fussed with appearence, just what is best for my fish. Cheers
justcichlids
hey seth imo crushed coral doesn't look the best but as you said you don't care about that. crushed coral is an excellent ph buffer and most people including myself use it in our filtration to buffer the ph. so to answer your question yes it is good for your fish cheers JD
