mcsx
does anyone know how these guys are with temprement? i was thinking of maybe getting these guys but im guessing they would probably not be compatible with smaller cichlids like shell-dwellers? cos they would probably eat them lol but i was thinking if i could have these guys mixed with some Cyathopharynx {and some leptosoma's? and only a few alto's} these are from my old setup what are your thoughts on this mix? poxboy
The literature available on this species suggests that they tend toward being a piscavore, so they'll eat any fish that will fit in their mouth ( and they've got a big mouth). Thay are also said to be very aggresive, so I wouldn't be puting them in with my featherfins. All that aside, they are one of the more unique looking Tanganyikan cichlids, and I'd give my left nut to get hold of some. As far as I know, they are not available in Oz. Bretto. P.S. This species is said to be the parasitic host most commonly used by Synodontis multipunctatus in the wild !
