Tunnel Rat
It is the best time of the year to get out and go bush. What a day today was best weather for hiking. All the rivers & water holes are so clean as they have been washed out with all that rain get out there and enjoy it I did not have a tripod so had to make do. Rested the camera on a rock for this shot. C&C welcome Rat

Tunnel Rat
Thx guys the story continues I went back today because yesterday when I was there I dropped a $200 B&W Polarizer filter in the water. I could not find it yesterday as it was getting dark and I had to still climb out of there. So I returned today with some ropes a torch and a Tripod this time I found the filter under a big boulder. I started sticking my hole arm under the big boulders in the current and feeling around just before I was about to give up I found it Very happy I hate losing gear its so expensive and it was not scratched .So now with my tripod I could get some better shooting positions. Still not over before I was finished a storm came from nowhere it started to pelt down.I packed my gear up as fast as I could as this was no place to be in heavy rain thank god I had the ropes made easy work of the rock face in the wet.Got to the top I was totally socked then it started to hail.On my hike back to the car mad lightning bolts started flashing around here I was carrying my big metal tripod As long as I got some good shots it was all worth it and I think I got some better images then yesterday will post later. nice shot mate where is that taking Down south Outstanding shot. It kind of looks like somersby falls on a good day up here on the central coast. I have not been to Somersby falls for over a year must go and have a look.As the last time I visited there was very little water as you can see by the image I took waist I was there. Tunnel Rat
Thanks guys have some more I took the next day will post soon. Very nice pics!! C'mon c'mon... Where are they taken!!! The second shot was at somersby falls on the central coast. Now the first shot. Well I find a lot of my special spots by walking for hrs following creeks up or down sometimes in the water is the only way though. I have even sleep over night once when it got to dark to return safely.I then mark them on my GPS to return when its raining or in better conditions for the shot. Now this spot I found by climbing down some rocks its very close to a main walking track. Just nobody would realise that such a nice spot is so close to them with just a bit of bush bashing (no walking trail) & rock climbing down to it.Its just 1hrs drive from my place in down town Rockdale The plan is to get a hole series of water falls in NSW. Some common some never seen before and maybe do a book.Well that's the plan but it is going to take a long time 2-5yrs. I will be getting my 4x4 in the next few months that should open a hole new world. thx Rat

Lepperfish
Good shots Rat, Do you find mirror lock up really helps? I have never shot a long exposure with the mirror locked up. Also just that 1st shot, it is good, but one thing the sky is blown out, I know its only a tiny portion of the shot an it would be hard to meter for that kind of light, im only nit picking! Good work!
Tunnel Rat
Awesome shots Rat! I'd buy the book Thxs mate As for the book you maybe in for a long wait but you are good at that About that long wait I am getting at 4x4 ute.So the three bags of black gravel that are still down my side passage way may make it on one of many trips up there that will be happing once I get the 4x4. I know you will believe it when you see it Good shots Rat, Do you find mirror lock up really helps? I have never shot a long exposure with the mirror locked up. Hi lepper I did some test with my EOS-3 some time back there was a little difference in sharpness but I think the EOS-3 had a harsh shutter.I just use it out of habit now. thx Rat
