Ok so ive had a trio of BN for about 6-8 weeks. Just have them in a 2fter with a small HOB filter. No driftwood in the tank just 2 pieces of PVC, and a basic ornament. I decided to make my self one of those terracotta pot cut in half breeding caves... 2 days later i have my male in there fanning away a nice size clutch of eggs. I was so excited when i found them, these are the first fish ive ever had breed for me, my GF thinks ive gone nuts, LOL.

So what do i do from here, how long till they are fry and how long till i need to feed them, do they have any special requirements?

thanks in advance.

Good job!!

YOu really only need to feed them when their egg sacks disapear.

Feed them cucumber/zucinini and be sure to take out the scraps.

As said before search the forum.

I would imagine fry would be too small to eat zucinni ?

Normally i wait until the egg sacks are gone and then You can feed them liquid fry food or crushed fry food, if the tank is a planted tank you dont need to feed them anything for a few days or just sparingly as they live off the micro organisms in the tank.

In saying the above, i have never raised BN but thousands and thousands of african and american cichlids so maybe they will eat zucinni ;)
