Cuong
If you're using epsom salts for constipated fish then it should be okay, although for using it for extended periods it might not be suitable.

marls
magnesium sulphate (epsom salts) are a main ingredient (along with baking soda aka sodium bicarbonate) in DIY rift buffer - not the thing for anything from amazonia Hi Ash, just to clarify.....baking soda is baking soda and it will kill your fish. I think you mean Bi-carb soda aka Sodium Bi-Carbonate. FYI I use Bi-carb (25kg bag), Epsom salt (25kg bag), Sea Salt (5kg) and small amounts of Potassium. just my 2bits worth. cheers marls
Ash
baking soda & bi-carb soda are the same thing = pure sodium bicarbonate you are thinking of baking powder, which is a blend of sodium bicarb, cream of tartar (an aluminium compound IIRC) & corn flour
