benni
i recently bought a small colony of electric blues around 8-12cm 1 was super bright blue(dominate male) another was just colouringing up (sub dom male) and 5 others with no colour(female), last night when i got up to look at the fish before i went to work i used my mobile to light up the tank without scaring them, and noticed they all have blue lips and cheeks, and as far as i knew that was the best way to sex them young (blue lips/cheeks=male) i also noticed when i was aclimatising them that 3 females were very dark from the top and 2 were much more pale could this be (3 males and 2 females)? electricyellowz
You never know it could be the case. You should just let them be and see if things change. I know my light on my phone gives my female fish some colour but nothing as good as the male looks in the light though. Hth, Ben
