kilroy
Hi all. This morning whilst watching the Footy Show I glanced into our mpulungu tank which is next to the couch, and saw one of the females scoot across the sand and pick up a nice yellow egg. By the time I got the camera out, they had pretty much finished, but the female has a definite mouthful. I have had the moops since February and they are only about 6 months old and 5-7cm (2.5 inches) long, so I know the eggs won't be fertilised, but I am just amazed that the female would produce eggs at that size. I remember reading a similar thread on another forum, and I was very skeptical until I saw what I did today. I have seen them practicing heaps for a while now, but I never thought they would do the deed. I don't know what Jamo's been teaching them over at his place!!!! Couple of pics of spawning and holding mum. Cheers Shane
