Jimbo OZ
Hi Guys, Just wondering how you guys prepare zucchini for feeding to BNs (including fry). I guess the options are: 1. Do nothing - drop it in raw. 2. Zap it for 20-30secs in microwave. 3. Boil it. Is there any preference or benefit for the options? Have I missed an option? Is the same process used for other veges such as pumpkin, broccoli etc? Thanks in advance, Andrew

stonedragon
hi me too i just put it on a fork and let it sink. tried pleco pizza to feed your fish? just get all your leftover green and root veggies boil then mash them then smear them onto a tile or thin slate or stone and bake in an oven for 10 mins or so you get a dried green covered piece of tile/stone keep in fridge and feed as reqired sinks to the bottom and the bristlenose go wild eating it. cheers peter

Mr Fishy
I use a Bull Dog clip and a bit of fishing line to retrieve it from the bottom. Like the fork idea too! Silver service or is Stainless OK?

Matthew
G'day I don't like the idea of forks in my tanks, one of my fish managed to hurt himself with one of the prongs on the fork Now I use a pieces of plastic pipe (Electrical conduit/PVC Pipe/pressure pipe) with an elastic band. 20mm electrical conduit mostly, it is really cheap from electrical suppliy stores, about $1 per meter, when bought in 4m lengths. This can be cut up for more than enough tubes for all of your fishy needs. I just walk along and drop them into the tank and I know I cannot crack the tank (I used to attach them to rocks and drop them, but I decided this may not be the best way to be doing this .) To cook them I put 5 or 6 cut up zucchinnis, into a container with water and they are zapped for about 90 seconds. After this they are coooled in cold water. cya Matthew
