Willo
Hi... I've by mistake purchased NLS optimum flakes from one of our sponsors, for the purpose of feeding my community freshwater guys, and also as a variety for my cichlid tank. Anyway, i didn't notice the salt H20 when i made the purchase, and was curious to know if this food is suitable in my freshwater tank? I did some research, and all i could find is this food is often sold in the 'marine' section of plenty of sites. If it's no good, I guess I'll have a new FS: item in the forums. Ash
as a general rule, salt water fish are much more particular about their food than fresh water fish, so IMO it'd probably be fine & likely better for the fish than your average "tropical" fish food anyway Have you asked the sponsor if they'd swap it for a fresh water flake? Once i checked the sponsors site (the reef shop), i noticed they don't advertise the product, so assume (yes, i know about assumptions), that they don't stock it. I've still not opened the container as I'm waiting to ask pablo and co. on the nls forums... the nls site has been down for about a week. If they say it's no good, i'll get in touch with the reef shop...
Ash
call the reef shop straight away, if they don't have it listed they've sent you the wrong stuff & you should be able to get it swapped

I meant to say they only have the marine flakes advertised, not the freshwater ones. I didn't notice it when ordering... my bad, not theres.
