sandy001
I have 11 albino bristlenose 6 male & 5 female which have just started breeding. I have them in a standard 2ft tank. My question is what is a good male to female ratio in this size tank for breeding. Should I just remove some males or split the colony. Thanks in advance Dave
TropheusQueen
My recommendation would be 1:2 in that size tank . With seperate caves you may want to try 2:5 or so but you may be asking for some issues here
sandy001
Thanks for the info Aline If I had more than 1 male in a tank that size would the males fight & would this upset breeding. Thanks Dave
timmy2422
I have 6 females and 3 male albino BN. I breed them in a 4 foot tank. I only keep one male in the tank at any one time. When one has breed he will be put into a fry saver with his cave/eggs and another male will be added to the tank. I get breeding about every 14 days.
