Hi All,

Can someone please ID this pleco for me,

This is already posted on the PCS and Pleco Fanatics, but I'm looking for another opinion.

I'm leaning towards L129 atm.

What do I have?

L333? Can someone please point me in the direction of where they have seen an L333 that looks like this? :blink

The 3 that come to mind straight away are L129,LDA22( clown ringlet pleco, almost the same as L104),L204.

Which one is anyones guess.

I posted the same question there, and on a few other forums. I payed L333 prices, but they have only grown 2cm in 9 months. Which is really really slow for a L333 or so i've been led to believe. I have contacted the seller in perth, who shot an email over to someone over east. That person confirmed he didn't breed them, and cant provide pictures of the parents. So I think there is a chance that they are L129.

L129s arent in oz to my knowledge, so I doubt theyre L129s. L204 - no way, L104 - no way

don't forget the people on PF have access to alot more catties than we do. So they like to think they are plec ID academics :lol3:

If I bought them as L333, I certainly wouldn't be thinking twide about their ID. It's a good way to get things confused. Sorry to say it mate but they're just plain old normal L333 juvies....

I wouldn't be changing their label

G'day Daniel

I cannot be certain what they are, would you please post up some more shots of these fish.

Some

Closeup shots

front on

side on

Believe it or not to take pics of some of my cats I often put them into one of my glass caves and then photograph them, usually when trying to determine their gender.

Another method is to place them into a small sized tank, like the size used to show/exhibit your fish in.

Profiles can often give away the identity of the fish

Unfortunately a single shot like this often opens more questions that it answers. :blink

More shots please :lol4:

To my untrained eye, they're not L333s? Although I've only seen adults (8+cm) and small juveniles (<4cm), nothing in between :B

 Don't look like a young L333.

Cheers
