Robbo2232
Hi all, just noticed that one of my red rubins has a mouth full of eggs! just wondering what i should do?? leave her alone? put her in a fry saver now? Wait till the egs have hatched and then put mother and fry in the saver? or wait till she spits? i havnt stripped before but i suppose there is allways a first, but i dont have a tumbler! this is my first batch so any help would be great! Thanks, Rob
andrew8710
Hey mate, Congrads on the spawn, best thing to do is just let her be for about 18-21 days. If you see her getting bullied maybe move her into her own tank but otherwise she should be fine. After the 18-21 days I'd personally strip her but if you have a spare tank and dont want to strip her yourself just put her in there and let her spit herself. Lonx
If you get really stuck, I have one of matthew's egg tumblers I could lend for a few weeks til they can goto the fry saver. You'd have to pickup tho, and I'm located in Waitara. A mate just told me where I can buy some juvies of these so I might do that next weekend... pretty much one of the few Aulonocara's I really like Congrats again mate,

BaZ
I move my females to fry savers whenever I notice they are holding. They then stay in the fry saver until they spit, and I move them out of the fry saver within a day or 2 of them spitting. The fry then stay in the fry saver until they are big enough to go into a tank.
