mcloughlin2
I'm ashamed of the human race at the moment. What is being practised on fish over in asia is disgusting. They're a disgrace!
Tunnel Rat
What are we supposed to be looking at? Bruce Come on Bruce just about every page is full of great fish we wish we got here (not the dyed or deformed ones of course). serkan
That is downright disgusting! I thought Monster Fish Keepers was about keeping tank busters in 50000 Gallon tanks. But this takes the term "Monster Fish" to a whole new level. They say they spare no expense on the hobby. But what about expense to the hobby. This punk is distributing these things all over. Out of Africa
I hope these people come back as fish! The things that people do to animals in general makes me sick! If you are brave watch " Earthlings " on the net, about animal cruelty inflicted by us on the earths animals. I couldn't get far
D6C1
Some of those fish are wicked! Love to own some. As for the dying.. Well thats another issue.
Tunnel Rat
Some of those fish are wicked! Love to own some. As for the dying.. Well thats another issue. Yep love to own some of those rare oddballs there sure is a lot of great fish on there just hope there is still some left in the wild. As far as the disgusting trade goes where there is demand there will always be supply. We are a sick race . But we can change things I would love to own some of those oddballs but would never buy from a supplier that stocked dyed fish and if we all did that they would soon stop stocking them.As I am sure we would out number the ones that would. In England they are changing the tide with a name & shame it works. This is another way http://www.deathbydyeing.org/ I would like to see it done with hybrids to but we do see a lot of them on this forum as well And Gerkan One persons post (a wholesaler at that) is not what a hole web site is about just think what people would think about Ace if Aceforums = Gerkan Lets name and shame have you ever seen a dyed fish in oz ? (maybe this should be a hole new thread). Rat

Perhaps we can all just mention the name of the shop who sell dyed/mutated fish and leave it at that?
serkan
Rat finally speaks to me! I feel so accepted! As for the naming and shaming. BP's are dyed aren't they?
Tunnel Rat
Rat- Thanks! But this is all I need http://www.aiconline.it/spaziosoci/foto/tanganica/ Bruce Sorry Bruce I missed your post ! I have seen those Black Zaire Calvus for sale at Pets Paradise . Give me one of those Bagarius bagarius any day each to their own. On page three of that post you will find the only reason I would ever set up a Lake Tanganyika Tank Aethiomastacembelus elipsifer eels What a nice looking eel. There are some for sale in Sydney NOW first time I have ever seen them for sale here before.( Sooty is on fire). Rat
BJL82
Don't generalize guys, everyone i've spoken to on that site is strongly against dying and tattooing fish! MFK is an amazing forum full of extremely dedicated fish keepers like you and I. Have a scroll through all 30 pages of that thread and it will open your eyes to the wonderful world of oddballs. ventralis
Hey Rat I agree the eel is awesome but if I had to pick a fish on page 3 I pick the PLATINUM GAR! Would be great to see them in Oz as well as a lot of other fish pictured I get so jealous when I look at O/S pictures. As for the mutant fish I just cant see the interest in doing this. Bruce
I actually asked Sooty about the eels before he got them and now he does....bloody nice but I don't have that kinda coin for one fish at the moment. Bruce
