That is a worry, probably more likely to be an issue up here than down there (temp wise), scary about them being able to handle higher salinity too!

And what about cichlids ??? G braziliensis has caused a huge panic in Perth where the 'tropical' cichlid has totally populated a lake and overtaken native species in surrounding streams and threatens the Swan river ???

The fisheries and wildlife people are so concerned that they are using dynamite to try and eliminate the brazillies.

It gets bloody cold in Perth in winter!!!! Now that is scary if a neotropical species can adapt to those conditions.
