Mate did you place the background onto the bottom of the tank to get the effect of rocks protuding?

Looks alot better !!! :clap

yeah its my latex background i placed on the bottom and put the substrate over it

3mm and 1mm crushed coral sand

i was gettin p1ssed off with the background at the back of the tank cause it took alot of room

and fish kept gettin behind there just wouldnt sit right

so yeah got a rocky bottom now some are real and some are fake ;) due to the background

I like what you did looks great :clap

But if that background is not totally sealed it will become toxic under there because you will get trapped water causing toxic spots  take care

.

thx

I did say that in a previous post...

Perhaps he could put a few small holes in it? That are too small for the fish to get through....

yeah i was gonna put afew holes in it so water could get in and out

i might try to dig under so i can get the airstone under it so move the water around under it

undergravel uplift tube would work wonders.

I'd black out the back of the tank, other than that awesome! Love the background on the bade protruding through, will stop them digging to the glass when they get older too!

Thats a great idea put some holes in the back ground where you cannot see them (back of protruding rock) with some sort of guard so fish cannot get in. Then two undergravel uplifts each end of the tank.

Have seen someone on this site use those 1" round cabinet air vent caps found in the old style kitchen's they will work for a guard but you will need to glue them in.
