fishbits
Hi, I have lost the first fish I ever owned he was a pleco. It's amazing how close you can come to a fish. His name was "the general" he was 10yr's old and will be missed.
TropheusQueen
Sorry for your loss We also lost a 10 yo gold plec earlier this year but his 18yo tank mate is still going strong Your plec is now swimming happily in the rivers that run under the rainbow bridge Amazing how attached we become. Rumpig
It's never good loosing an old fish, especially catfish I think, I lost my 6 year old S. euruptus last year and I was pretty up set, it'd seen a lot of fish and tanks come and go.... I lost my Mangrove jack today It was only a couple of years old but I'd grown him up from about 5cm (I was worried that mosquito fish were to big for him to eat ). I'll miss him. TropheusQueen
Sorry to hear of your loss . rainbow bridge? huh? Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal (fish) dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills (and rivers) for all of our special friends so they can run and play (and swim) together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals (fish) who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals (fish) are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play (and swim) together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run (swim) from the group, flying (swimming) over the green grass (water), his legs (fins) carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross (under) Rainbow Bridge together.... Author unknown... Okay okay I changed it a little but you get the gist Cheers
