Ben
Hi All, I keep yellows with mine but was wanting to put something else with them. What do you keep with them?

Ben
What type of peacock Ducky? I thought the demasoni may pick on anything blue.
Ducksta
They were wild caught heuseri. They got a bit of a hard time, and the males fins were never as long and flowing as they could have been but both were churning out fry so it mustn't have been too bad. Rosco mentioned he had problems adding some peacocks to his though so maybe it's hit and miss.

Ben
Cobwe They must be in one of those big tanks Craig? I thought a cobwe male would get flogged for sure.
TropheusQueen
I have them in with Cobwe and have had that setup for two years + with no fatalities. Ratio demasoni 3:9 cobwe 2:8 in a 4x2x2 each holds their own and they compete with how many females they can get to hold
Ben
That is great to hear. My cobwe have been on holidays at "Miller's Ranch" for such a long time maybe I could bring some home again when I get a bigger tank. Thanks for the feed back guys. CThompson
I have four or so male Cobwe, within 10 cm of each other, lined up, one after the other, all showing full colour, with the demasoni (30?), and flavis (10?), not to mention the yellows, all in a 4'8" tank, with no damage being done to anyone. rosco
Ben, I have yellows and Benga peacoks with mine. The peacoks are just shy of breeding size But I think I have 3 or 4 males and 1 female. They seem to get alone just fine, they are in a 6x2x18(h) and the demasoni are starting to breed. Initially the peacocks were getting pushed around abit but I added another rock pile and now it appears that there is enough tank space for all ATM. I have had trouble with juvenile Benga's and young agro male saulosi before. I am considering adding my cobwe to mix and turning their tank into a tropheus (dubosi maswa) tank until I get my 6x2x2 display tank. In fact the original benga's I had (past tense ) I think were yours Ben. I am pretty sure that I picked some up from a NSWSC meeting from you some years ago. It was a costly mistake as they were just starting to look really good. cheers rosco

TropheusQueen
Hi Aline How do you go with demasoni & cobwe x breeding. Thank's Dave ← Hi Dave, I have had no incidences of cross breeding Ps. demasoni and Cyn. afra cobwe - they are chromatically diverse and the males of each species pay no attention to the females of the opposing species - other than to push them around every now and then Cheers Aline
