ViS
I just milked my Ob peacock and she had about 15-20 little bubies , but afta an hour i looked in the fry holder and some of the fry were pale white and stiff , what did i do rong ?? any help would be great The first thing I'll help you with is the location of the spell check button. It's directly below the posting window. For help with the rest of your question answer these: 1. How old are the fry (how long had she been holding)? 2. how did you strip her? Did you use a hard instrument that could have accidentally injured some of the fry?
parrdog
For a second there I thought this place had dropped its 'G' rating. Gotta love those bubies . Jamie.

anchar
Did you put the fry into the same water that the mother came from? Andrea
wui39
Shame the fry died, but it might have been for the good of the cichlid community. Might be an idea to get a "proper" strain of peacock to breed as well.
dobbin4
Milked, dont you mean striped?? I would say they were to young in the mouth {mout} . How old were they before you striped her, days i mean. I have great trouble keeping alive my E/blue Iceberg if they are not held for 17 days+. But have found that they will hold for 21+ days and fry survive at a better rate. Why not put her into a holding tank say 400x 300x 150 mm with a air stone and let her spit whenever she's ready, Hey mate take ViS 's tip on the spell check, helps me heaps, Good luck.John
