mezzacam
My LFS has these, and i am seriously in love with their weird but cute faces. Some sites say they will fit in a 4ft, others say they won't. So i'm just seeing if anyone has had any experience with them? and whether they would go okay in a 4ft tank? And also what M/F ratio? Thanks, Cameron.
wui39
4ft is the bare min that I would keep them in. I had a breeding trio 1M 2F from Craig and the male was constantly chasing the females. Other than that, tough fish and would do well in a Malawi tank. I too love their faces
mezzacam
Well damn... I don't want to just be scratching in on tank size... Feel bad for the fish then... What about Labeotropheus trewavasae? Would they be better suited to 4ft?
Parramatta Aquarium
A male and 3~5 females would be fine in a 4'. ,,,,,, and you would have no snails. THey are a bit agro but their under bite means they do little damage. They are a nice fish it would be a shame if the way of so many when ppl loose interest. I bred 100s but there did come a time when I could simply not even give the fry away. I had red top mail, OB females. I still have one male left. Craig. dobbin4
I agree with Craig, just have some cover ,hiding places and a few other fish in there would help any agro, Go for it but not the two labs together. John
