fman
OK Just type something on your image. I used the horizontal type tool, and set my colour to 50% grey (R128, G128, B128). Go to your layer palette, and make sure you're working on the type layer! Go to LAYER>LAYER STYLE>Bevel and Emboss. Play around with the settings. Give it a bevel, change the lighting angle, profile etc. Once you've done that, go back to your layer palette, and reduce the opacity to around 50%. To the left of the opacity box, click where it says normal, and change the blend. Just play around - soft light, hard light and hue seem to work well. It's just a matter of perseverence. Sometimes a seemingly small change can make a big difference. Here's an example of two similar watermarks, with slightly different settings. The more you play around with the settings, the more you learn: Cheers, Frank
