catcher
Just picked up a sub-dom male about 15cm in length. Put him in a display 6x2x2 as the only male dimi with 3 good sized females and a number of other fish and he hasn't show any "colourig up" traits at all so far. I've been told they can be really woosy fish in the presents of other males. What do you reccon? glenn
D6C1
Has he settled in yet? Is he being bullied by any others?
Camo
Hey Yes if you have only just picked him up give him time to settle in. At 15cm being the only boy with 3 lasses he should colour up very nicely. Let us know how it goes ok. Cameron
Ducksta
It really depends what his tankmates are - if you still have that big bruising bunch in your 6x2x2 I don't reckon 100 girls would convince him to colour up. They really are the biggest sooks around. My males coloured down when I threw some feeders in there and they beat him up!!

catcher
Thanks guys, I'll give him some more time to settle in. Oh, and yes ducksta he's in with a very big but placid Rostratus male and two Kadango males amoungst others! For a tough looking fish they are fairly meak and mild. Cheers glenn ps no bullying as far as I've seen, he's been accepted quite well Toufic.
Colfish
For a tough looking fish they are fairly meak and mild ← at 15cm, he's just a boy, wait till he hits the 20's and the ladies turn on the charm and figures out who owns the tank great fish mate, good luck cheers
