Ash
Do you need it to connect to an indoor tap? If you have easy access to an outdoor tap, standard garden connectors will go onto 12mm vinyl hose & just put a large gravel vac on the other end. I actually have 2m of vinyl hose, then a hose joiner, then the regular garden hose that I use with success in a two story house. I've never seen the actual "python" product in Australia, but then I live in hicksville so I ain't seen much.

Other Ed
The python uses the same thing as a waterbed (drain and fill) look here http://images.google.com.au/images?q=drain...+waterbed&hl=en You should be able to get the bit from any good waterbed shop, or have one posted to you. Then go to local hardware, bunnings etc to get the tubing. I bought a python 1. unless you can get the water to drain outside you are wasting water, 'cause you need the tap on to make it go. 2. They save heaps of time and buckest of water back and forth. 3. The shutoff tap that came with mine broke after just a few uses (I droped it) 4. The plastic tube that comes with the python feels like good quality to me. HTH. Ed. Edit, I bought mine from StGeorge in NSW. 2nd edit, http://www.aceforums.com.au/index.php?showtopic=14649&hl=

Trojan
Don't need fancy stuff like that. I use a cheap 2800lph submersible pump and a $6.99 garden hose from Bunnings. When I want to clean gravel, I gravel vac into a 50litre bin and then pump the dirty water to drainage from there, else, I chuck the pump in the tank and let it pump out as much water as I want to change. hardb0iled
I just syphon with a hose! Then refill with a hose! I have filter sand substrate so all the yucky crap stays on top and I just syphon it out. Simple, quick and easy!
