Dupla CO2 system

Recommended Posts

Hi, My mate has a Dupla CO2 system with a 1.3kg bottle. It has a non standard thread connection. Can anyone tell me where he can have it recharged. Preferably in the Bankstown area. St George do it but he doesn't want to go that far.

Thanks in advance.

yeh im pretty sure thats true, as you have to be a authorised re filler, which you need to know how to decant from one to cylinder to another. easier and best to go to BOC who will supply you the gas.

Ive recently been told that filling C02 cylinders in an aquarium isn't actually 100% legal, I don't know how true it is though *shrug* It might be one of those silly industry myths that does the rounds.

its 100% safe to get your bottle refilled at auburn as we are all trained on the art of it. it is also 100% legal as i am a marine engineer and am licensed in the fitting , refilling and exchanging of co2 cylinders so that aspect id covered as well

Unfortunately though, not everyone is as qualified or professional as Shovely sad.gif If you have an LFS you can trust, and someone who knows what they're doing (like Shovely), then that is great. HOWEVER, I know if it were MY cylinder, I'd be wanting to make sure that the person filling it knew what they were doing and wasnt going screw something up!

I think there is a BOC gas outlet in Moorebank. Thats sorta close to Bankstown. Personally I would go to St. George cause its only 25 minutes drive from Bankstown. Plus its a good excuse to look at the fish! thumbup.gif

Wetherill park might be a bit far though. I know supagas deliver bottles, but that is only on a rent-a-bottle thing, and naturally they are industry standard.

it aint that hard espescially when alot of the time the people filling your bottle are trainees. if all else fails guys you know where you can get it done legally by a proffesional or even st george who have been doing it for years without a problem wink2.gif
