BaZ
No matter what setting I use on my camera I always seem to get the dreaded Red Eye effect when using a flash. Is there a quick and simple way for me to change the image so that my subjects look less alien before I go and print them?
fman
Baz Suggest your subjects stay off the jungle juice and go to bed earlier! Alternatively, if you're using Photoshop - try this: http://graphicssoft.about.com/cs/photoshop/ht/apsredeye.htm Cheers, Frank
mianos
Does your camera have red eye pre flash? It pretty much always works for me aside from the compromise it's annoying to the subject. Otherwise I usually to a circular select in photoshop and desaturate the eye.
Matty
I simply select the red pupil with the circular select, then hit "CTRL + U" (Hue / saturation). Then select the "Red" from the drop down list, and drop the saturation and lightness down to the desired level. That way, it won't affect the colour of the eye if you don't get the select area spot on. Once you do it a few times, it will take you about 15 - 20 seconds per photo to fix. The best thing about that way, is that it doesn't affect the "sparkle" in the eye, which looks fake if removed.
