guppy01
What is the best fluoroscent tube available for planted tanks and where can I buy them? Is is safer to stick with the traditional aquarium bulbs (i.e aquaglo) or are there better ones out there that are also cheaper? Thanks for any advice. wui39
I bought some Sylvania Daylight tubes from JR Turk at $3.00 each. It works but I haven't made any comparisons to the more expensive Aquarium lights.

wui39
hydroponics stores maybe, i doubt anywhere else will have 10000K+ tubes as not many people use them. The most they use is normally daylight even for fine jobs such as clothing and manufacture because your not often going to get to see the product in anything better than daylight. Other than that you can try and order directly from the fluro manufacturers but you may have to buy at wholesale type of amounts Philips, Sylvania and NEC are the big ones.
