D6C1
I like the nigripinnis. Is that with any light in the tank?
trofius
Thanks guys, The nigripimmis love the darker areas, and rocks, so no lights on that tank, they do look like that with lights however. the bright edging is assentuated with the camera flash. The caudos are one of my favorites they have lovely pearly spots and the lemon yellow is very distinct. when in the darker areas they have their stripes/blotches come out looks very striking. davez104
Lookin good Mick, they all seem to be doing well. Love those nigripinnis, beautiful fish. My attenuatus have started to display breeding behaviour already. I would have thought they were way too young yet. Two have paired off and have been checking out shells and crevices in the rocks, dispaying to each other the whole time. Have to watch them from a distance though cause they get distracted easily. Thanks for the pics. Dave.
trofius
Cheers DAve Yeop my attenuatus showed some spawning behavior twice now, not sure were the first lot of fry went, but they plastered the underside of a rock again today, right out in front of the tank , after i made the effort to build up canions for them all accross the back of the tank, of my 5 i am pretty sure there is 2 pair, the boys stay pretty colourful, with the blotches etc, and will cruise abouts looking for trouble, the females will stay kinda drab, and hang out were they have there nest, I am guessing that once they hatch they move the fry abouts a bit. anchar
Dave...put a pice of PVC (or similar) pipe in your tank...the attenuatus that I had use to breed in that rather the rocks/shells. Nice collection of fish Mick. Andrea
davez104
Thanks Merjo, I've got a bit of pvc in different sizes laying around, I'll give it a go. Although it is a community tank, so I reckon odds on the cuckoos and olivaceous brichardi will claim them Thanks. Dave.
