catfishLegacy
I might be wrong here, but I can't find any reference to the import list changes anywhere except the page that everyone has already seen, does this seem strange??? Stranger still was this: the AQIS officer I have contact with through work knew nothing about any changes either. Can someone link me to a page or a site that has some other sort of official record of these changes? Cos I can't find any mention of it anywhere else I would've thought the AQIS website would at least have it advertised?

catfishLegacy
Yes, thats the page myself and everyone else has already seen. I might be wrong here, but I can't find any reference to the import list changes anywhere except the page that everyone has already seen, does this seem strange??? I'm asking if there is any other official documentation relating to these available on the web? I would've thought AQIS would be in the know, surely? Nigel
It will be put on the AQIS web site when the 6 species have been assessed by Biosecurity Australia. There is a page on the AQIS web site called Icon updates so it will be posted on there in due cause.
catfishLegacy
So is there a chance some of these species still might not be approved? The industry has waited a looong time for this...My boss told me not to get my hopes up because the same thing happened some time ago and NOTHING got approved. BlakeyBoyR
I have it on quite good authority that you can expect those six species to go through. I would find it highly unlikely for them to be rejected at this stage. Commence getting your hopes up .... now
catfishLegacy
And if not? We just wait another 5+ years? I'll start packing to move to England
kevkoi
don't get your hopes up too high.... DON'T. Better start making plans to move to England..... Might actually happen before Biosecurity approves it. When it happens, I'll be on it. Until then, don't hold your breath.

Nigel
I would not worry to much they will go on the import list. The last information I had from AQIS is that five of the six species will be available after the 30th September. The only one that maybe delayed is Glossolepis incisus.
