D6C1
Hello, One of my Johannis spat out today. There is not as much as I have of the africans but there is a bit.. Ill let the mum recover and wait for the other johanni to spit out. What should i feed them? When should i start to feed them? I crushed some pellets nad let them float the top. but the fry are just sitting on the rocks. Any frozen stuff? Keep crushing pellets? Thank you! Rol&Jas
Hi again, If their eggsack is absorbed and the fry is free swimming you can give them powdered flake and that's all they need. Only give them very small quantities though. You can crush the flake with your fingertips. Roland
Anita_ozfish
If you are feedicrushed pellets, make sure it is always very fine for the newly spat and give the top of the water a few swishes with your index finger - that should make it sink a bit better ...... unless you are crushing floating pellets
D6C1
Thanks guys. How would I know if they are eating?
Rol&Jas
One obvious sign is that you see them actually picking on the food. The other one is that you see them getting bigger and fatter Roland
