graceless
Hey guys... I have sold up all the cichlids, just recieved about $100 worth of plants, and i'm ready to get planting. I got both pink and green baby tears... 5 bunches of each.. and i wanted to have them grow horizontally along the substrate as a "grass". Has anyone else done this before? any suggeestions for how to do it? Cheers Grace
BlakeyBoyR
I'm don't have any advice particularly for that one species, however I am familiar with one technique for growing a "carpet" of plants. Here is a link to a website that describes how to create a carpet effect using mesh. Hope that helps

kevkoi
Riccia as a carpet effect ala Amano. Been there done that... Looks awesome, but boy a heluva lot of work to keep it down and looking good. Also need lots of light. I think if you want to keep stem plants growing short, keep the pruning scissors handy and get a pair of long pincers to keep planting the tips back. LOTSA WORK.
