YeW
Hi Guys - As most of you know its been a stressful week for the administrators of ACE. But my fish dont seem to have noticed - perhaps I was in the fish room less to interupt! I finally have a decent size spawn of J. dickfeldi (around 25 or so!!) generation 5 from wild caught (the spawn is). My J. transcriptus 'Gombe' have had a second spawn also - around 15 or so I believe. My Kiku as usual are breeding machines - since I've moved them I've got around 100 babies. N. hecqui (or N. meeli or whatever they are!) - more fry of these also, from small girl #1. Trouble is - I dont have anywhere to put them . The 4x2x2 grow out tank is full of things which are "growing out" (weird that isnt it). What's not breeding? Well, I have a pair now of J. regani 'Zambia Gold' (See photo forum for some pics) but they arent doing anything else yet. I also have some V. moorii which I am desperate to breed - again, no luck yet (but suspect of my older fish all three are of one sex). I also have a trio of N. olivaceous w/out fry. Better than no fry I know - but I need to setup more room for fry.
ViS
I've also had a good week. I got 10 fry from my msobo and I just noticed a gobful from one of my new perlmutt girls - and she's 4cm! I thought it was only cobwe that bred that small On top of that my phenochilus bred for the first time yesterday, and my dimis have 2 girls with mouthfuls. If my polleni breed as well, I'll be ecstatic (more so )
Chuckmeister
I've just watched, this afternoon a pair of my Albino dimis breed for the first time. I'm surprised you all didn't hear me when I noticed

anchar
Nothing too special for me atm. I have a new brood of A. septemfasciatus, N. pulcher 'daffodil' and T. meeki, plus the usual G. acei 'msuli', C. afra 'cobwe' and M. mola. My severums spawned, but the eggs were not fertile merjo

Ducksta
As per usual, more than half my girls of any given species are currently holding. The only species not overrunning me with fry are the severums I bought at the March auction, still in quarantine They must be slow starters. Even my grow out tanks are full of mouthfuls at the moment So much live food
BlakeyBoyR
I wish I had tanks big enough to seriously give breeding something a try. Parents not letting me keep anything bigger than a 2'
rosco
Hi all, Unforunately I only have one expected Saulosi mum ATM. Probably because I am still growing up and building on my colonies , I am just impatient. But I have gotten hold my first peppermint kittens this week they are really cool. I think that I they will be a long term keeping fish Oh and i almost forgot! I got BN to breed YES... BN to breed for the 1st time ever! The only fish i own that i hadent bred ROFL Great feeling Mike isn't it I know how you feel I had to wait 18 months before my so called "pair" of BN would breed for the first time but when they did they pumped out 120 + in 6 weeks. Now they are in consolidation mode as they appear to be igoring each other, they must have gotten married Have a good day Rosco

Rol&Jas
After a long summer vacation, our fishes are starting to get back to spawning again. (In summer they get too lazy ) Our M. johanni "Choifu" started to breed as well, so that is a good sign. Roland
rosco
My saulosi mum finally gave released her bubs. I normally allow them to release into the tank as I enjoy the stress and challange of chasing the fry around the tank. This time I decided against it as I just moved them into a smaller tank. This time I caught her and put her in a fry saver. I am glad I did cause in the process of catching her she release 3 bubs and I only recovered 2 but in the fry saver she released about another 26 bubs and I got to witness it for the first time. I was pretty cool. I think I will do it this way from now on. cheers Rsoco
