ViS
If I could get them to breed I would! j/k. I know they are North of Sydney, but that's all. With all the hype, they'd better turn out as good as we all hope
Gav
maybe they will just be another aurora. fantastic in photos, average in life
j.s
I agree that some aurora look ordinary in real life - but i've been many that look as good if not better than they do in the photos. I guess it all depends on the individual fish.
MikeWs Fish
hmmm zebra long pelvcs wouldnt mind getting a colony of those critters. I like the 'hara' variant better than the 'mdoka' variant. I wonder which ones we have if any Hara http://www.cichlidae.com/gallery/picture.php?p=903 Mdoka http://www.bigskycichlids.com/images/Ps_longpelvic.jpg PS I think aurora males need to be at least 9cm before they look any good (good photo quality). ViS
No way mike! I love the mdoka. The hara just looks like every other afra / zebra / elongatus type with black bars and yellow fins. The mdoka has just about the most unique colour I've seen in a zeb.
BlakeyBoyR
Im with Andy on this one. The mdoka's colours are very unusual, sort of a rusty meets afra colour scheme. Very cool
j.s
I'd have to agree with Andy - the Mdoka is my pick for sure - that pic does not do it justice. Mike if you saw the Mdoka pic on my Konings Malawi CD im sure you'd agree too mate - no joke I actually drooled when I first saw it
MikeWs Fish
Anyone got a better internet pic of the mdoka? Just going off what ive seen... I really like the neon blues and yellows in the hara pic. I guess i like yellow and blue fish... auoras etc zebra has more a of a neon blue and yellow than a powder blue and yellow - wow! I think that mdoka has an ugly head in the pic and the orange makes it duller and less attractive JM twisted O
Mazimbwe
No contest...why bother with just another black'n'blue Zebra? It is definitely the unique colouring of orange/rusty baring that appeals, not just the long fins.
