BaZ
I'm researching this for a friend at work. He's after a small tank to keep a couple of bettas in and likes the idea of those curved front all-in-one tanks with the filter and light hidden in the hood. Does anyone know the best (cheapest) place to get one of these?
Ducksta
The aquarium inside Parramatta Westfield had them very cheaply when I was there. Not sure if it was a once off thing when I happened to be there, or full time price.
mianos
Pet barn had some sort of clone of them on special last week. I'd ring them up. They also have the aqua one ones which are pretty nice, being all glass. (Opinons differ on them but I like them myself, I had an AR-38) I go to the one in Rosebery but maybe Penrith is better? : 117 Coreen Ave Penrith NSW 2750 ph: (02) 4731 6044 Pet Foods &/or Supplies They are in the yellow pages search under 'petbarn' one word. E4G13M4N
Aqua ones are not too bad Jebo. Filter too strong for fighters needs modifying somehow Secca look ok but glass way too thin compared to other brands of the same size IMO A few other brands getting around that dont have Australian standard approval. Not sure who approves these things anyway ive heard of one heater that has approval number on the cord but the actual heater is not approved
Ged
Baz The RSPCA shop in Springwood (opposite the Station) had a Secca on display in the front window. I'll post the price later this morning as they have had it on special. Gerard
Ged
Baz The tank at the RSPCA shop was $370 but has been reduced to $270. It is only a 60 litre tank but it features 1. integrated light and light timer, 2. a swivel head for the return from the powerhead and filter setup, 3. easy heater access and 4. feeder compartment. They are also providing a heater, gravel and some other extras. Gerard
willsy01
I'll put a vote in for Aqua One tanks as well....i'm on my third one now and have been happy with them. I don't think the filtering on the bigger tanks is quite sufficient though.....i've just set up an AR980 which is 215 litres and i'm looking at investing in a nice canister filter. One of the little ones will be fine, like an AR380 which is about 35 litres from memory.
r.d.m
auburn aquarium had them on special a while back, just make sure your filter maintainance is spot on or they leak like a sieve, replacement filters are dirt cheap at parklea markets($6 for 2),the smaller aqua one's are just made for betta's!
