parrdog
G'day All, I noticed some funny behaviour with one of my Moops (T. moorii Mpulungu) and thought I would share. This particular fish was doing a really long poo as fish do. Anyone who keeps Trophs will know they consider their own and other fishes poo a delicasy, and therefore can probably tell where this little tale is leading. Anyway, this poo was long enough for the fish to know it was there but not long enough for it to grab hold of it and gobble it down. What it did then was go round and round in circles trying to grab this elusive little snack. It looked exactly like a puppy chasing its tail. This was going on for quite a while and was driving this fish nuts. It got the other fish sparked up too who also wanted to grab on to it. This fish was doing a great job of chasing this elusive poo whilst fending off other fish who wanted a piece of his action. Eventually the poo snapped off and he got his prize, yummy! I hope it was worth all the effort. I love these little poo eaters, Jamie.
MoliroMan
That is grose mate! U have been on holidays too long. U should have captured it on film! Sounds like an idea for the next photo competition!!! At least the poo wasn't stringy like thin cotton! Dave
