noyd
G'day all I'm back from my holiday and I'm thinking about setting up my 5x20x20 again, I want to fill it up with all Duboisi's, how many can I possibly have in there max? Cheers
parrdog
I don't know about max, it depends on filtration and stuff but a group of about 30 would look nice in there. I know other members of the forum have 40+ Trophs in similar sized tanks. Jamie.
noyd
Oh yeah never added filtration, I've got a 1200lph aqua master cannister on there. Whats the best way to set up the tank for them, substrate and rock work? Cheers
Flashgordon
You can do 30 to 40 tropheus in there and it will look fantastic. Bear in mind that tropheus nedd top quality water. I'd be inclined to add another cannister to a tank that size, to increase the biological filtration capacity. I'd use sand for the substrate, makes it really easy to clean as the dirt cannot fall down between the gravel. You can also add a pile of rocks in the middle or two smaller piles at either end. Not too much or some dominant male will take control fo the entire rock work
Nigel
I would say 20-25 and put the tank on a mini reef.
