Ben
You will find that you will end up with all the females holding at the same time mate. When I had them all together over a period of a week every single female would be holding. Keep feeding them too as the females will eat while holding but generally not till the second week. Best of luck.
chorrylan
Keep feeding them too I tend not to feed foai in the first 2 or 3 days after spawning. They're such hungry pigs that I've seen females spit all their eggs while joining in the frantic race to grab the food. Once they've got past the first couple of days it seems not to be an issue though.

trofius
My female magara did the race up with everyone else for a feed then stopped dead, and very gently sucked in a weee little bit of flake, she did this a few times, and i was happy.... .....Day 11 she raced up to the food i had just placed into the tank, with everyone else, paused as usuall (winked at me ), then blahhhh into the flake!!!!! as a guess I saved 9 from maybe 15 fry.....those shiny bits of flake go off!
