Aquaman
Hey Alan (or anyone else that might know) Some time ago there was a post up here saying that dry cat food can be fed sparingly to BN's... I bought some and the bloody stuff doesn't sink! What catfood actually sinks? Cheers Richard
robfishfan
feed them carrots or that other green stuff , and put a rock on top of it to hold it down, and you do not have to boil it , it just falls apart faster if you boil it, and makes the tank dirty............. chorrylan
hi, I've fed an assortment of cat whiskettes/niblettes to my peppermints and ordinary bristlenose (though the peppermints are more interested). I don't use a particular variety, just whatever my cat is getting at the time and I keep switching brands so he doesn't get too attached to any particular one. Yes the whiskettes float but I use floating feeding rings made from airline and an airline-joiner which keeps them in place until they get waterlogged and sink. Alan
I just use "Go Cat" of what ever flavour is being used at the moment. When I am cooking veggies for the fish a hand full of cat bickies go into a jug and in goes the hot veg water to soak them and make them sink. Feed when cool. I blanch all my veg, pumpkin, zuchini etc...(don't boil till soft and mushy) so that they sink. Would take me all day to tie down 40 or 50 slices of pumpkin, and if it is just blanched it dosn't break up. Anyway it is usually all eaten in 10 or 20 minutes.
