dory Posted September 21, 2004 Share Posted September 21, 2004 hi all i have about 15-20 L.Ocellatus babies that are in a 4 foot tank with their parents and i want to catch them and put them into a smaller tank to make is easier to grow and catch them. fiona Posted September 22, 2004 Share Posted September 22, 2004 If they aren't going into shells much any more (which they may not depending on their size), I've had a lot of success in using a small net, gently shepherding them towards the glass, then gently get the net under them (I have sand substrate so I push it under the sand a little), they tend to swim back into the net, at which point you can lift them out.
