hi all,

this is my first time posting pics so sorry if the quality isnt that great. I just got a canon IXUS 500 and i took these shots of my lamprologus ocellatus "blue". It will take some practice to get some good pics but i will keep trying smile.gif i hope i posted the images right blush.gif

Yep, pics worked fine Dory, they took a while to load up though..

In the last pic the colour of the photos is really blue, are you using a blue light or did you try and use an effect on the camera? thumb.gif

Dory, that last shot needs colour balancing. It's a good shot:

I just loaded it up and adjusted the colour balance and levelled it a bit for you. Nice shot of the little fry on the right.

edit: it's worth an entry in the looking at the camera competition. She is looking right at the camera .. 'get yer beady eyes of my fry!'

thanks for the tips, yeah i have a marine actinic and a power glo in the tank. Thanks for evening up the colour i already entered in the comp tho, ohhh i should have used that shot dry.gif Thanks for the advice

clap.gif Nice pics there Dory, I would never have guessed it was your first go at it. Keep up the good work.

If you are looking for some hints, tips and tutorials on image post-processing check out these couple of sites:

http://luminous-landscape.com/

They are both pretty Photoshop focused, but if you are using something else most of the techiques can be applied to any image editing software.
