rick
Wow, that tank looks huge compared to mine. I had to look twice to pick out a fish or to in there. Obviously there are a lot more that I can't see Rick

MoliroMan
Good on ya Jamie! At last u posted some pics up! And they look amazing! I think u need to get some wildcaught MOOPS as well since your tank is so massive it looks like there r no fish in there!!! The MOOPs r colouring up very nicely indeed! They look like they r very comfortable together and displaying great social interaction. I can't wait to see it in the flesh! The tank setup is outstanding! I can't believe how excellent your painted background looks! Have your changed your rocks from before? Where did u buy the limestone rocks from? Your plants look like they r growing well. Do u use fertiliser? Did u make up the name for the long thin stuff plant? Does it grow well in alkaline water? Is it like val? The limestone sand looks pure white! What r your water parameters now? Show us more pics man! Dave

Water parameters- temp- 26.5 degrees, pH- 8.5, kH- 15, Amm- 0, Nitrite- 0, Nitrate- 15-20 mg/l. Seeya mate, Jamie.
Flashgordon
My experience with plants in a tropheus tank was that with liberal doses of fertiliser I managed to get great growth from vallisnera and Anubias - until the tropheus achieved a size of around 7 or 8 cm. Once they got to that size, they suddenly started eating plants with a passion and despite all of my best endeavours they trimmed that vallis back to 5 or 6 cm and ate ALL the new anubias leaves. Now the tank is bare of plants as frankly I find it a lot cheaper to feed them prepared foods and the occasional lettuce leaf than to buy expensive aquarium plants for an a la carte dining experience
