julesjb
Hi all, I am heading to Africa next March on a capetown - Nairobi trip for three months and plan to spent at least a week on the shores of Lake Malawi - (I may get to Lake Tanganyika but not sure yet) I was after some advice from anyone (particularly in Melbourne) who has been to the lake(s) recently and has a few pointers/tips. I have spoken to a LFS owner in Sydney who was great but am otherwise finding it hard to come by good info. Cheers, Jules
anchar
I was there in 1982...biggest worry was the gun wealding natives. Don't know if it is more settled/safer these days I would check with local sources and the Australian embassy for up-to-date information regarding travel security (if all else fails, American dollars and those minature airplane booze bottles work well as local currency ).... merjo
