Link2Hell :

tank the Ellioti are in is a standard 5ft tank with pool filter sand substrate.

filters are 1 x Eheim 2215 and 1 x Fluval 405

running Co2 to control the pH "sitting on 6.8"

Sera pH controller, Dupla inline reactor pumped by eheim inline 1250 pump

aged tap water with geo liquid added at each weekly 30-40% water change

lighting is just 1 x aquamedic 80w plant grow tube running atm.

lots of wood and a few rocks.

plants are just narrow leaf java fern, Philippine java fern and valis.

fish are :

2 x close to adult Thoricthys Ellioti

5 x geophagus araguaia "not so orange head"

6 x L201 pleco's

male and female longfin albino bn's

2 x ornate tetra's

2 x pencil fish

foods fed are :

"Hikari" Mysis shrimp, brine shrimp with spirinula, blood worms occasionaly "the L201's love the bloodworm"

"NLS" large fish formula, Thera+A, Cichlid formula

Sera San, flora

live brine shrimp twice a week.

yep the Ellioti give the Geo's a bit, but only when they have fry otherwise they get on ok usually :)

this is an older pic of the tank, doesn't have as many plants in it anymore though as i robbed some for another tank.

Excellent run down of the set up and diet

I like the flow in the way you have layed out the tank

looks just the right balance ... great job :thumb

very impressed with the health and condition of all

your fish that you've shown

It's a good mix with tetra's, very similar to Japes post

of his Geo's

Do you still have the Choc Gourami and Gold Rams

that were in one of your vids

Thanks Link2Hell

yep still have the Choc gourami, it's the last left out of 4 i bought about a year ago.

euthanased one of the gold rams the other day as it developed popeye and didn'y want to risk any of the other fish in the tank.

yep the Ellioti is a relative of the firemouth, but not as aggressive.

the Ellioti get to approx 15-16cm for the male with the females being quite a bit smaller.

my pair are pretty much full grown now...
