Frosty
Hey guys, Got a question in regards to our blue dolphins. i currently got a colony that is breeding well, now i got offered some smaller albino ones, was wondering if i can keep them together? also will they breed together like normals with the albino and if so is it fine? or will something weird come out. from knowledge the albino strain originates from the normal fish anyway? should be fine right? any experts can shred some light, would really appreciate it. thanks in advance;
adamgatt
I personally wouldn't be mixing them together. From my limited time having fish i understand there is some uncertainty around the albino form of some species, and whether they are true albino or have been cross bred with something else to get the albino gene. Link2Hell
@Frosty not an expert but my opinion is not to mix them the albino form have been "developed" in Asia and from what I have seen and heard were not all C moori genes they are close by there is variation in shape that I have seen the NSWCS view is they are hybrid until someone proves otherwise there are pure albino mutations out there but these are not one of them
